The bio-pharmaceutical sector in Pennsylvania encompasses approximately 200 companies that range in operations from Virtual to Research with Development and Manufacturing. The Philadelphia region is also home to world class universities and research hospitals who are conducting ground breaking discovery of new biological drugs. Philadelphia is ranked #4 nationally in the funding from the National Institute of Health. The area has an abundant inventory of high quality laboratory research and biopharmaceutical space. The NEOSE facility is central to the deep scientific labor pool that exists in Pennsylvania. Access to the well trained employee base is one of the best features of the location. The densely populated Life Sciences communities of Princeton, NJ to the East and Malvern, PA to the West are equally close and provide the ability to draw employees from either direction.
