Youcare Pharmaceutical Group, a significant generic pharmaceutical manufacturer based in China, engaged PharmaBioSource Realty to acquire two facilities from Actavis. Youcare sought to establish its first presence in the U.S. in order to gain access to the FDA-regulated generic pharmaceutical market.

The Results
Youcare acquired Actavis’s 285,433-square-foot oral solid dosage facility — fully equipped to manufacture over two billion tablets and capsules annually — and the 196,613-square-foot packaging facility, which housed four bottle filling lines and one blister packaging line, to establish its first U.S. presence.
