Carl W. Symecko, Ph.D.

Dr. Symecko has over 30 years of experience in the biopharma industry, in areas of product development, manufacturing, and technical operations, most notably with Pfizer, where he spent two decades in senior technical and business development roles. He led CMC and manufacturing due diligence across Pfizer’s Inflammation & Immunology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Rare Disease, and Vaccine business units, driving business-case development and manufacturing supply strategy for many of the company’s most significant transactions. Dr. Symecko has deep expertise in technology transfer, alliance governance, new product introductions, contract manufacturing strategy, and integration leadership, having established and chaired Joint Manufacturing Committees and led the integration management office for a major oncology acquisition. Earlier in his career he directed product and process development, technical services, and CMC teams supporting the launch of new and marketed products, including at Hoffmann-La Roche and Warner-Lambert. Dr. Symecko holds a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from the University of Rhode Island and a B.S. in pharmacy from Northeastern University.
