Don Rindell brings more than 40 years of senior executive experience across the life sciences industry, with expertise spanning corporate development, business development, strategic partnerships, and technology strategy in therapeutics, diagnostics, and medical devices.
He is Managing Director of Camino International, LLC, a strategic consulting practice focused on business and product development. Through Camino International, Don advises companies in the United States and Japan, ranging from emerging biotechnology companies to major biopharmaceutical organizations. His work includes strategic partnerships, licensing, product development, technology assessment, and commercialization initiatives.
Previously, Don managed partnered pharmacodiagnostic programs supporting Bristol Myers Squibb’s Translational Medicine initiatives in oncology. He also served as Senior Director of Corporate Development at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, where he led significant global transactions and strategic partnerships with companies including Shionogi Pharmaceuticals, Biocon, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and leading drug-delivery companies. He also provided management leadership to Amylin’s Drug Delivery Team. Amylin Pharmaceuticals was subsequently acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb.
Earlier in his career, Don held senior executive positions with Advanced Tissue Sciences, Braun/Thermoscan, Hybritech, and Syntex, building broad experience across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostic, and medical device businesses.
Don’s career has focused on identifying opportunities in science, technology, and commercial strategy and translating those opportunities into successful partnerships, products, and businesses.
He received a B.A. in Economics from the College of Wooster and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School.
